Front End Technical Architect

Function

We’re looking for a Front-End Technical Architect to join our client’s consulting environment and play a key role in shaping the future of enterprise web applications. You’ll combine architectural expertise with technical leadership and coaching, helping development teams build scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. This is an opportunity to influence technical standards, guide architecture decisions, and contribute to the continuous modernization of a complex application landscape. A strong interest in innovation and emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, is highly appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Define and promote development standards, architecture principles, reusable patterns, and framework strategies.

• Provide architectural guidance and technical direction to multiple delivery teams.

• Translate business and functional requirements into sustainable, scalable, and secure technical architectures.

• Develop architecture documentation, technical recommendations, and implementation guidelines.

• Evaluate the impact, risks, and dependencies associated with technology changes.

• Contribute to technology lifecycle management, platform upgrades, and technical debt reduction.

• Support architecture assessments, technology evaluations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for developers, stakeholders, and project teams.

• Coach developers and help increase the maturity, consistency, and industrialization of development practices.

Technical Expertise

• Expert knowledge of Angular and modern front-end development.

• Strong knowledge of the .NET and .NET Core ecosystems.

• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade web applications.

• Strong understanding of web security standards and secure development practices.

• Solid experience with performance optimization, scalability, and application maintainability.

• Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML.

• Experience with design systems and UI component libraries is a plus.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated quality controls is an advantage.

• Exposure to AI-assisted software development, coding assistants, or GenAI solutions is a plus.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Software Engineer within a complex enterprise environment.

• Strong technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.

• Comfortable presenting architectural decisions to governance bodies and senior stakeholders.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex technical topics accessible.

• Pragmatic, analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented.

• Able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience facilitating communities of practice or mentoring developers is preferred.

• Experience supporting technology adoption or organizational change is an advantage.

• Curious and committed to continuous learning, with a genuine interest in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence.

• Previous experience in insurance or financial services is beneficial.

• Experience with architecture boards, enterprise architecture, or technology strategy is a plus.

• Fluent in both Dutch and English.
