Frontend Angular Engineer

We’re looking for a senior Front-End Engineer to join our client’s delivery team and help build modern, scalable, cloud-native web applications. This is a hands-on role for an experienced professional who combines strong Angular expertise with architectural insight and enjoys working closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and business stakeholders. You’ll be part of an agile environment where quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement are key.

Role & responsibilities
As a senior front-end specialist and architectural contributor, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain modern single-page applications using Angular (2+)

• Define and implement front-end architecture and solution design, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability

• Develop and consume APIs in front-end applications and support seamless integration with backend microservices

• Build and evolve reusable library components and contribute to the development of a shared design system

• Translate UX/UI designs and wireframes into clean, semantic, reusable, and responsive code

• Implement best practices for state management, data flows, and API integration

• Actively contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support cloud-native front-end delivery, preferably in an Azure-based environment

• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions

The ideal candidate
Our client is seeking a highly experienced front-end professional with strong technical depth:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in front-end application development

• 5+ years of experience with cloud-native front-end development and single-page applications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Angular 2+

• Proven experience designing and developing front-end architectures and solutions

• Experience developing and consuming APIs in front-end applications

• Experience building web portals using Angular or similar portal technologies

• Hands-on experience with design system component libraries and CI/CD pipelines (preferably Azure DevOps)

• Experience working in large, agile delivery teams

• Knowledge of Java SE 10+, Event-Driven or Behavior-Driven Development, and Domain-Driven Design is a plus

• Familiarity with existing public-sector building blocks or shared services is a plus

• Strong analytical skills, able to propose alternative solutions and make well-founded technical recommendations

Languages & working environment
Due to the bilingual and international context, good working knowledge of English is required, along with Dutch or French. You are a strong communicator, a good listener, and comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You enjoy teamwork but are also mature, proactive, and autonomous in your way of working.
