Frontend React Developer

Function

Our client is looking for a front-end specialist to help build and maintain modern React applications that are user-friendly, performant, and secure. In this role, you will contribute to solutions that support business processes and end users through thoughtful frontend architecture, close collaboration with stakeholders, and a strong focus on quality and usability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze frontend needs and translate functional requirements into intuitive and effective user interfaces.
• Develop new front-end applications and improve existing solutions using React.
• Advise on technology choices, including React, UI frameworks, and development tooling.
• Work with API and backend integrations to ensure smooth data exchange and accurate presentation of information.
• Participate in Agile delivery practices and use Azure DevOps for planning and collaboration.
• Use Git for version control and maintain clean, stable, and well-documented frontend code.
• Test, debug, and troubleshoot frontend issues, including unit and integration testing.
• Support second-line issue resolution and help prevent production incidents proactively.
• Contribute to frontend architecture improvements, usability, accessibility, and performance optimization.
• Document components, guidelines, and architecture while sharing knowledge with the team.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with React
• JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• HTML5 and CSS3
• Responsive design
• REST API integration
• Git
• Azure DevOps
• Agile working methods
• Frontend and integration testing
• Frontend security and accessibility best practices
• UX design experience is a strong plus

Profile

• Medior-level profile with approximately 2–3 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Strong sense of ownership, maturity, and team fit
• Quality-driven with a clear focus on user experience
• Interested in modern frontend technologies and continuous improvement

Practical Information

• Language requirements: native or bilingual Dutch or French, and professional working English
• This is a consulting opportunity
• A security clearance is required
