We're looking for a consultant to join our client's team, which is focused on developing a state-of-the-art integrated digital tool aimed at improving the management of transportation authorization requests for both small and large passenger vehicles. As processes currently rely on various informal systems, this initiative seeks to streamline and modernize operations, ensuring accurate and timely information for both users and operators.

Responsibilities

The team involved in this initiative will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing a robust backend that adheres to business rules and facilitates data access.
• Creating a database consultation tool for agents.
• Developing an Android application to support on-field inspections by authorized personnel.
• Implementing data migration processes for existing systems and integrating new authorization-related data.
• Ensuring compliance with established technical standards and security protocols.
• Engaging with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into effective technical solutions.

Key Features and Deliverables

The application aims to enable users to:

• Submit, process, and track authorization requests in real-time.
• Access valid authorizations along with their details regarding vehicle and operator.
• Quickly verify the compliance of operators and vehicles during inspections.
• Maintain a comprehensive history of decisions for traceability.
• Ensure secure access based on user roles including agents and inspectors.

Expected deliverables include:

• A functional back-office application.
• Documented and secure API.
• A well-structured and populated database (including existing and new data).
• An Android application for field inspections.
• Technical and functional documentation.
• A robust logging and auditing mechanism compliant with industry standards.
• Power BI reporting capabilities for larger transport categories.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Familiarity with databases, particularly Oracle, and data migration processes.
• Proficiency in Android development using Flutter.
• Strong backend development skills in Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid frontend implementation knowledge with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Angular.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to craft reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Understanding of application security best practices (OWASP).
• Fluency in French
