Full-Stack React Developer

Our client is looking for an experienced React Developer to contribute to the agile transformation of a major enterprise banking environment. You will join a multidisciplinary squad working on digital solutions for enterprise clients, with end-to-end responsibility across both frontend and backend parts of the application. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys building high-quality software, collaborating closely with business and technical colleagues, and contributing to a long-term consulting engagement.

Responsibilities

You will work in an Agile squad where development and operational responsibilities are shared across the team. Your scope will include both the web and cloud-based components of the solution, with most of your time focused on React-based frontend development.

• Translate requirements into clean, high-quality code.
• Design, build, and maintain performant, reusable, and reliable applications.
• Develop frontend features primarily in React, while also contributing to backend work in Java and Spring when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to deliver new features end to end.
• Work with external data sources and APIs.
• Ensure strong application performance, responsiveness, and code quality.
• Apply development best practices, identify bottlenecks, and resolve bugs efficiently.
• Contribute actively to the team mindset by sharing knowledge, suggesting improvements, and helping the squad reach its goals.

Technical Skills

The ideal profile combines strong frontend expertise with solid software craftsmanship and a good understanding of modern engineering practices.

• Deep understanding of Core JavaScript.
• Proven experience with React.
• Strong knowledge of Git.
• Hands-on experience with Jest and React Testing Library.
• Good understanding of clean code principles, refactoring, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Practical experience with Test-Driven Development.
• Willingness to pair and work collaboratively.
• Nice to have: Java, Spring, Maven, databases, and knowledge of specific frameworks used in the environment.
• Experience with authentication processes and implementations is a plus.

Profile

• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Practical experience in Scrum and Agile projects.
• A positive, pragmatic attitude with a strong appetite for learning and knowledge sharing.
• Team-first mindset, with the ability to support the squad beyond your primary role when needed.
• Strong communication skills and openness to feedback.
• Ability to challenge requirements constructively based on your expertise.
• Comfortable integrating quickly with new colleagues and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Practical Information

• Language requirements: strong English is required; French or Dutch is a plus.
