Functional Analist (Senior)

Function

Our client is looking for a senior functional analyst to support a business-critical application initiative within a public procurement context. The assignment calls for someone who can lead discussions with stakeholders, structure complex options clearly, and guide decision-making efficiently. The future platform will need to integrate with other systems in the broader educational policy domain, and an external test-delivery platform may also be considered if it proves more effective functionally and financially than building a new solution.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder conversations and facilitate a quick, well-informed decision-making process.
• Translate business needs into clear specifications for a critical application.
• Map out possible solution options and present them in a concise, understandable way.
• Support the definition of a solution that may span multiple systems.
• Prepare RFI and RFP documentation, as well as business cases.
• Develop user stories and the corresponding test scripts.
• Organize workshops and interviews with relevant stakeholders.
• Provide objective support for product selection and make-or-buy assessments.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience as a functional analyst on large, business-critical applications.
• Experience in technical environments relevant to complex project delivery.
• Proven background in requirement analysis and design concepts for object-oriented, multi-tier, web-enabled, and/or UML-based environments.
• Experience with requirement analysis and design concepts for web and mobile applications, including tablet use cases.
• Knowledge of data and process modeling techniques and tools.

• Combines analytical strength with the ability to communicate clearly and influence decisions.
• Experience with product implementations and development initiatives is a plus.

Practical Information

• Language requirement: Dutch at CEFR level C2.
• This is a senior consulting opportunity.
