Functional Analyst

About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to play a crucial role in analyzing business needs and ensuring the successful development of IT solutions. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring alignment between requirements and technical feasibility. Your expertise will help shape impactful projects within a structured IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth needs assessments to define business requirements and assess technical feasibility.

• Participate in the analysis of new and existing projects, ensuring alignment with IT solutions.

• Provide clear insights to stakeholders about project expectations and system capabilities.

• Proactively assess the impact of business requirements and propose alternative solutions when necessary.

• Develop detailed analyses, ensuring validation and approval from all involved parties.

• Collaborate closely with developers and testers, guiding them in the development or modification of applications to meet business needs.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements.

• Offer support to colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.

Your Profile

• Proven experience in functional analysis, with hands-on involvement in at least four of the following areas for a minimum of four years:

  • Facilitating workshops and working groups.

  • Modeling business processes.

  • Gathering and translating business requirements into functional analysis.

  • Writing functional specifications.

  • Creating user stories.

  • Planning Agile ceremonies.

  • Testing IT applications.

• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to describe desired and existing processes using Functional Architecture, Use Cases, Data Models, and Business & Functional Requirements.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and testing strategies.

• Experience in UML and BPMN is a strong advantage.

• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps is a plus.

Languages & Experience

• Native proficiency in Dutch or French.

• Good command of the second national language (Dutch or French) and English is an asset.

• Confirmed experience in a Functional Analyst role, with expertise in Agile methodologies and user story writing.
