We're looking for an experienced Functional Analyst to join our client's digital transformation team and contribute to the design and delivery of IT solutions supporting workforce planning and competency management within a complex operational environment.
You will join a team of skilled analysts working on strategic initiatives aimed at improving the management of qualifications, certifications, and operational capabilities. As part of an ongoing digitalization program, you will have the opportunity to shape innovative solutions, optimize business processes, and directly contribute to improving services for thousands of users.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Functional Analyst, you will act as the link between business stakeholders, project teams, and IT specialists. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing, structuring, and prioritizing business requirements from multiple stakeholders while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Leading requirements gathering workshops in multilingual environments.
- Translating business needs into clear functional specifications and actionable solutions.
- Supporting the definition, structuring, and prioritization of product backlogs using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Contributing to the design and implementation of competency and qualification management solutions.
- Supporting business case development, project scope definition, and alignment of cross-functional objectives.
- Collaborating with project managers, business teams, and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Taking an active role in business change initiatives, ensuring successful adoption of new processes and systems.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliverables through secure and controlled use of AI tools.
Required Profile
The ideal candidate has strong experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in complex enterprise environments, with proven expertise in competency management and digital transformation projects.
You bring:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in qualification management within the transport sector, including the definition and implementation of qualification frameworks.
- Proven experience implementing enterprise-level HR Information Systems (HRIS) from start to finish.
- Hands-on experience with at least one full SuccessFactors implementation in an organization with more than 1,000 employees.
- Minimum 2 years of experience defining, structuring, and prioritizing product backlogs using Jira and Confluence.
- Experience leading requirements workshops involving multilingual stakeholders (Dutch, French, and English).
- Demonstrated ability to independently analyze, challenge, review, and prioritize business requirements.
- Experience coordinating business cases, project scope definition, and transversal business objectives.
- Proven experience leading business change initiatives impacting more than 100 employees.
- Experience using AI tools securely to optimize workflows, improve quality, and increase efficiency.
Languages & Working Conditions
- Ability to work onsite in Brussels at least two days per week, including Monday.
- Fluent in English (minimum CEFR C1) and either Dutch or French.
- Strong working knowledge of the other national language (minimum CEFR B2).
