Responsibilities and Role
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing functional requirements and designing robust IT solutions for various applications related to the life business division. Their contributions will encompass:
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholders including business units, testing teams, and project managers.
- Managing a comprehensive portfolio that includes contract subscriptions, modifications, tariff calculations, and handling financial transactions such as premiums and claims.
- Interacting with core applications developed in Cobol, working alongside distributed technologies such as C#/.NET and SQL databases.
- Following through on design implementation, coordinating with technical teams, and customizing user interfaces.
- Participating in testing and ensuring product delivery aligns with user requirements.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
The perfect candidate will possess proven experience in functional analysis and user interface design, particularly within an insurance IT environment. Required qualifications include:
- Fluency in English and Dutch.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- A solid foundation in IT solutions design for large-scale projects.
- Hands-on experience with application development processes and business systems.
Technical and Personal Skills
The successful individual will demonstrate the following mandatory skills:
- A proactive, methodical, and analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication abilities, allowing effective interaction with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Experience with application development tools, mastery of MS Office, and familiarity with .NET frameworks.
Preferred qualifications include experience with SQL programming and REST/SOAP service design in .NET environments, alongside an understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies.
Education and Experience
A Master's degree or equivalent expertise gained through a minimum of 5 years in a similar role is essential. Experience in insurance or banking sectors, specifically in life insurance, contract management, and user interface design will be considered advantageous.
