HRIS Data Migration Specialist
Function
We’re looking for an experienced HRIS Data Migration Specialist to join our client’s large-scale HR transformation program. In this role, you will lead complex end-to-end HR data migration activities from SAP HCM environments toward SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and S/4HANA Time solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring data quality, compliance, governance, and operational continuity throughout the migration lifecycle within a highly integrated enterprise landscape.
The Role
As HRIS Data Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for defining and executing migration strategies, coordinating data governance activities, and ensuring the successful delivery of migration waves across multiple HR systems and business domains. You will work closely with HR, IT, business stakeholders, and integration teams to manage complex data transformation initiatives in a structured and compliant manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining migration strategies, governance models, timelines, and data management principles aligned with the HR transformation roadmap
- Managing data selection, archiving, retention, and defensible destruction approaches in line with GDPR, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Leading data discovery activities across SAP ECC HCM and non-SAP systems, including infotypes, custom tables, organizational structures, payroll-related data, and integrations
- Designing and maintaining field-level mapping specifications, transformation logic, value mappings, and governed conversion rules
- Building and executing repeatable ETL/ELT processes for extracting, cleansing, transforming, validating, and loading HR data into SuccessFactors Employee Central and S/4HANA environments
- Working with migration and integration technologies including Spinifex, Data Conversion Manager, SAP BIB, SAP CPI, IDocs, APIs, and OData services
- Driving data quality improvement initiatives through mock loads, reconciliation activities, defect management, root-cause analysis, and KPI reporting
- Coordinating testing activities including unit testing, SIT, UAT support, payroll validation, reconciliation controls, and audit evidence preparation
- Managing cutover planning, dry runs, go-live activities, hypercare support, issue resolution, and operational handovers
- Maintaining full documentation of mappings, transformation rules, data lineage, governance decisions, and migration procedures
Ideal Candidate
Our client is seeking a senior HR data migration professional with strong SAP HCM expertise and hands-on experience in SuccessFactors transformation programs within large enterprise environments. You combine technical migration expertise with strong analytical, governance, and stakeholder management capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise data migration projects, including at least 3 years focused on HR data migrations
- Proven expertise delivering SAP HCM migration programs involving SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and S/4HANA solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with migration and integration tools such as Spinifex, Data Conversion Manager, SAP BIB, SAP CPI, IDocs, APIs, and OData services
- Solid knowledge of SAP ECC HCM modules and data structures, including PA/OM, Time Management, Payroll, Benefits, infotypes, clusters, and custom Z-tables
- Strong understanding of SuccessFactors Employee Central data models, object structures, and HR master data concepts
- Experience working within hybrid SAP landscapes and phased transformation programs
- Excellent problem-solving, reconciliation, and data quality management skills
- SAP SuccessFactors and/or SAP Integration certifications are considered a strong advantage
- Fluency in Dutch, French, and English (minimum B2 level for all three languages)
