Infrastructure & Tendering Project Manager
Function
We’re looking for a senior Infrastructure Project Manager to join our client’s team and lead complex IT infrastructure initiatives in a highly regulated environment. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on integration platforms and modern architecture frameworks. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineering teams, security specialists, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery while meeting governance, compliance, and operational standards.
Role & Responsibilities
As Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing large-scale infrastructure programs from planning through delivery, ensuring strong coordination across technical and business teams.

Lead complex infrastructure projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.

Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with architects, technical leads, and stakeholders.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and communication frameworks aligned with governance standards.

Manage project budgets, monitor financial performance, and propose adjustments when required.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and according to defined quality standards.

Act as the central coordination point between internal IT teams, external vendors, and business stakeholders.

Drive initiatives related to network, cloud, and integration services, with particular focus on API Gateway and API Management platforms.

Support architecture-driven initiatives such as platform consolidation, migration, and lifecycle management of integration platforms.

Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies while implementing mitigation strategies.

Provide regular reporting on project progress, risks, and key decisions to leadership and governance bodies.

Define operational and non-functional requirements for the service run phase, including service delivery and support models.
Profile & Experience
Our client is seeking a highly experienced project manager with strong expertise in IT infrastructure environments and public-sector procurement processes.

Minimum 15 years of professional IT experience, including at least 10 years in project management roles.

Proven experience delivering infrastructure-related projects across domains such as network, cloud, or integration services.

At least 3 years of experience working on projects involving integration platforms or API management environments.

Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex, multi-stream projects involving multiple technical teams.

Demonstrated experience coordinating projects involving five or more delivery teams.

Strong knowledge of structured project planning, tracking, and governance practices.

Proven experience with public procurement or tendering processes in regulated environments.

Experience defining operational support models, including monitoring frameworks, SLAs, and KPIs.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (Dutch or French at least C level, the other language at least B2, English at least B2).

Available to work on-site in Brussels twice per week (Thursday as a fixed on-site day).
