IT Business Analyst

Function

We’re looking for a consultant to join our client’s healthcare transformation program during a key scoping and assessment phase. In this role, you will act as the bridge between clinical stakeholders and technical teams, helping define functional requirements, identify solution gaps, and support the creation of a strong business case for a future digital healthcare platform implementation.

The Role

As a Functional Analyst, you will work closely with medical professionals, operational teams, and IT stakeholders to analyze current workflows and assess how standard healthcare software capabilities align with local clinical and regulatory needs. You will play a central role in identifying required adaptations, defining functional specifications, and supporting effort and cost estimations for potential custom developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead focused workshops with clinicians, specialists, and administrative users to capture business processes and operational requirements within a tight project timeline.
• Analyze the gap between standard healthcare platform functionalities and local regulatory or clinical requirements.
• Translate complex healthcare workflows into clear and structured functional specifications for future developments and integrations.
• Define interface and data flow requirements between core healthcare software modules and locally developed extensions or applications.
• Contribute to effort estimation, delivery planning, and cost analysis to support investment and business case decisions.
• Collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational needs and solution design.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Functional Analyst, preferably within healthcare, hospital, or clinical environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to quickly understand and structure complex medical or operational processes.
• Experience working on software implementation, integration, or digital transformation projects.
• Familiarity with healthcare information systems or Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms is considered a strong asset.
• Professional communication skills in English and French.
• Knowledge of tools such as ITSM platforms and Visio is advantageous.
