IT Functional Analyst
Function
We’re looking for a Functional Analyst to join our client’s team, a forward-thinking organization working on an ambitious transformation roadmap. You will be part of a dynamic IT environment of around 100 professionals, contributing to the development and improvement of business-critical applications. Operating within a Windows environment using a Microfocus mainframe emulator, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and take ownership of end-to-end functional solutions.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Functional Analyst, you serve as the bridge between business and IT, ensuring that requirements are translated into high-quality, structured solutions aligned with business goals. Your responsibilities include:
- Translating business needs into clear functional and technical designs
- Preparing and executing functional integration test cases
- Performing product testing before delivery to end users
- Analyzing issues and proposing appropriate corrective actions
- Coordinating with developers and technical designers during implementation
- Ensuring solutions meet business expectations and requirements
- Reporting progress to stakeholders, project leaders, and management
- Supporting project leaders throughout the project lifecycle

Business Experience
- Proven experience in non-life underwriting insurance is required
- Experience in non-life claims or document management is a plus
Technical Expertise
- Experience with multi-layer applications is mandatory
- Knowledge of SQL is an advantage
Education & Languages
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, engineering, or a related field
- Fluency in English and Dutch is required
