IT Infrastructure Engineer & Service Desk leader

Working closely with an external IT partner, your focus will span infrastructure design, daily operations, and frontline technical support. Role & Responsibilities
As part of our client’s core System Infrastructure team, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day and strategic operations of a hybrid IT landscape. This includes:

Coordinating with external service providers to set up, manage, and secure infrastructure components (e.g., SCCM, GPOs, telephony, mobile devices, workstations).

Supporting and managing the first-line Service Desk and PC Desk teams, ensuring smooth issue resolution and user support.

Overseeing the design and implementation of infrastructure for business-critical applications, balancing security, availability, and user needs.

Acting as a technical point of contact for business users, development teams, and service providers, with an emphasis on collaborative troubleshooting.

Handling, documenting, and reviewing security incidents, including participation in Incident Review Boards.

Assisting with documentation for both IT teams and end users.

Providing VIP support as a backup when needed.

You're a versatile IT professional with a solid background in infrastructure and a mindset geared toward security, problem-solving, and service excellence. You're comfortable working across teams and roles, and confident stepping into leadership when required.
Key qualifications:

Proven experience in an IT infrastructure environment.

Solid understanding of:

Microsoft Windows in a corporate setting

Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)

SCCM package deployment and Group Policy configuration

General IT infrastructure principles

Experience leading or managing small technical teams is a strong plus.

Skilled in writing clear documentation (English).

Prior experience in a similar infrastructure support role is advantageous.
