IT Project Manager SAP ISU SR

Function

We are looking for an experienced SAP professional to join our client's IT leadership team as a SAP IS-U Team Lead. In this strategic and operational role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure the stability, evolution, and long-term roadmap of a critical SAP landscape. You will be responsible for leading a team, managing external partners, and driving the modernization and continuous improvement of the SAP ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance, optimization, and evolution of the SAP IS-U platform, including upgrades and enhancement initiatives.
• Define and implement the strategic roadmap for the SAP ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives.
• Oversee capacity planning activities and ensure adequate resource allocation to support ongoing operations and future initiatives.
• Manage operational activities related to the SAP environment, including application management and batch processing (excluding infrastructure responsibilities).
• Coordinate and maintain strong collaboration with external implementation and support partners alongside vendor management stakeholders.
• Establish and govern technical and functional architecture standards, development tools, and upgrade processes across the SAP landscape, including S/4HANA environments.
• Monitor and manage the portfolio of current and upcoming SAP projects, ensuring successful delivery and business value realization.
• Select, coordinate, and manage internal and external resources involved in SAP-related initiatives.

Leadership & Governance

As a member of the IT management team, you will contribute to the definition and execution of the overall IT strategy. You will be responsible for managing your team's staffing, performance objectives, skills development, methodologies, processes, procedures, architecture standards, and budget. You will also play an active role in shaping the future direction of the IT organization and its technology landscape.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience leading SAP IS-U environments and managing complex SAP application landscapes.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Experience managing external service providers and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of project portfolio management, resource planning, and budget oversight.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in people management, coaching, and team development.
• Familiarity with IT governance, security, and compliance frameworks, including GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIS2 requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
