IT Project Test Analyst

Function

We're looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join our client's team on a long-term consulting assignment within a complex enterprise IT environment. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality business-critical solutions by driving testing activities across multiple project streams. This is a hands-on position combining test analysis, test design, execution, coordination, and quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle. Working closely with analysts, architects, developers, and other stakeholders, you'll help ensure robust system, integration, and end-to-end testing within a challenging and fast-paced environment.

The Role

As a Test Analyst, you will take ownership of the testing approach and contribute to the successful delivery of complex software solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyse business and technical requirements and identify potential quality risks.
• Define, maintain, and communicate the overall test strategy, test scope, and master test plan.
• Coordinate system, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional testing activities.
• Design, maintain, and execute functional and technical test scenarios and test cases.
• Prepare or identify appropriate test data to support effective test execution.
• Validate test results and investigate defects, incidents, and unexpected system behaviour.
• Support root cause analysis by examining APIs, integrations, messaging components, and transaction flows.
• Manage the full defect lifecycle, including prioritisation, reporting, and follow-up with delivery teams.
• Monitor testing progress, provide regular status updates to stakeholders, and contribute to release regression testing and continuous improvements within the quality assurance process.

Your Profile

We're looking for a proactive and analytical professional who enjoys taking ownership and thrives in collaborative environments. To succeed in this role, you bring:

• Proven experience in test analysis, test execution, and defect management.
• Experience defining test strategies, test approaches, and master test plans.
• Hands-on experience with API testing.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, DB2, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.
• The ability to support functional analysis during end-to-end issue investigation.
• Experience with tools such as Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI is considered an advantage.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cucumber is a plus.
• A basic understanding of non-functional testing and software architecture is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience within the insurance sector is highly valued, while knowledge of case management, workflow management, or claims management solutions is considered a plus.
