IT Service Manager

Function

We’re looking for a skilled IT expert to join our client’s dynamic team, contributing to a major modernization initiative. The program focuses on transforming a legacy monolithic system into a modern microservices-based architecture running on Kubernetes. This forward-looking initiative is designed to deliver greater agility, scalability, and faster value delivery to both internal and external users, while ensuring rapid adaptation to evolving business and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will support both technical and organizational objectives by contributing to a collaborative, service-oriented environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a proactive and service-minded team member within a cross-functional environment
• Supporting the achievement of organizational and project objectives
• Communicating clearly and effectively across teams and departments
• Identifying improvement opportunities and proposing practical enhancements
• Supporting colleagues in resolving technical and operational challenges
• Troubleshooting issues and contributing to efficient problem resolution
• Integrating and aligning information across systems and stakeholders

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills. You are comfortable working in complex, evolving environments and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.

You should bring:

• Strong expertise in microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Solid knowledge of database management concepts and practices
• Experience with both synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns (e.g., REST APIs, messaging queues)
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multi-team environments
• Flexibility and adaptability in fast-changing technical and business contexts
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Language Requirements

• Fluency in English is mandatory
• Knowledge of Dutch or French is considered a strong asset
