IT Support Engineer

We’re looking for a consultant to join our client’s technology team within a fast-paced media production environment. In this role, you will operate at the heart of the production process, ensuring journalists, editors, and production teams can rely on stable and efficient technical systems across radio, television, and newsroom operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges and supporting creative teams in a dynamic broadcast setting.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Media Support Engineer, you will play an essential role in supporting and maintaining the technical ecosystem used in daily media production.

Provide first-line technical support to production teams across radio, television, and editorial environments.

Diagnose and resolve technical incidents related to broadcast and production systems, or coordinate with specialist colleagues when escalation is required.

Take a coordinating role during complex technical issues by guiding colleagues within the technology team to restore services as quickly as possible.

Support end users with the technical tools and facilities used for media production.

Participate in technical projects such as the implementation of new studios, broadcast systems, or recording equipment.

Test new systems and hardware, document procedures, and provide training or guidance to end users when needed.

Our client is looking for a technically curious professional with a strong service mindset who enjoys working in a collaborative media environment.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (such as engineering, IT, or similar), or equivalent experience.

Candidates with an audiovisual background combined with solid knowledge of IT and electronics are also encouraged to apply.

Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle feedback constructively.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and translate user needs into technical solutions.

Team-oriented and able to integrate quickly within a multidisciplinary technology team.

Willingness to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, and weekends when required.
Key Skills & Experience
Must have:

Proven experience in the media industry.

Experience within a broadcast environment or audiovisual technology.

Experience operating or coordinating within a technical production environment (approximately 3 years).

Higher education degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or equivalent through experience.
Nice to have:

Experience with audio and video workflows and editing tools.

Knowledge of media file processing and management.

Familiarity with audio or video recording equipment such as microphones, mixing consoles, or cameras.

Knowledge of macOS and Windows operating systems.

Experience with broadcast or production software, radio production systems, video production systems, or editing tools.

Native-level Dutch proficiency (CEFR level C2).
