Java Developer

We are looking for a seasoned Java Developer to join our client’s development team and contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of robust backend systems. In this role, you will ensure business continuity and technical excellence within a critical application landscape, working on scalable and secure solutions that support key business processes. You will be part of a dynamic environment focused on long-term knowledge building and sustainable technology development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend components and RESTful APIs using modern Java frameworks and best practices.

• Write, execute, and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and system reliability.

• Participate in code reviews, contributing to continuous improvement and adherence to development standards.

• Support deployment, cutover, and hypercare activities across various environments.

• Diagnose and resolve defects, ensuring smooth and efficient system operation.

• Maintain and update technical documentation to reflect current architecture and implementation details.

The Ideal Profile

• Excellent command of Core Java, with strong understanding of object-oriented programming, collections, streams, and exception handling.

• Hands-on experience with frameworks and libraries such as Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and build tools like Maven or Gradle.

• Proficiency in designing clean, reusable, and secure REST APIs, ensuring compliance with design and security standards.

• Experience with testing frameworks and best practices for quality assurance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on clean code and maintainable architecture.

Conformity Criteria

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Java Developer.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with microservices architecture.

• Proven experience integrating with SaaS solutions.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with the Spring framework.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a public transport or similar large-scale operational context.

• Proficiency in spoken and written English at C1 level (or equivalent).
