L3 System Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Level 3 IT Support Specialist to play a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and improving the IT infrastructure of an organization. This role involves handling escalations from Level 1 and Level 2 support teams to resolve complex incidents related to Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Intune, endpoint security, and essential infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, Exchange Online, and Teams. Additionally, the selected candidate will monitor the environment, address alerts, enhance operational security, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 technical support on server environments, Microsoft 365, Intune, security, and network infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve complex incidents involving Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS/DHCP, M365, Intune, Teams, and Exchange Online.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend sustainable corrective actions.
- Monitor infrastructure using various monitoring tools.
- Manage accounts, permissions, and policies within Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Administer Microsoft 365 platforms, including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint/OneDrive.
- Configure and troubleshoot devices through Intune.
- Handle alerts from Defender for Endpoint and O365 solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with systems and network teams on cross-functional incidents.
- Engage in technical evolutions and migrations under infrastructure team supervision.

The successful candidate will have experience in IT support roles, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a team. They will possess the technical competencies to support a wide range of IT services and be committed to continuous improvement and learning within the IT support domain. A thorough understanding of security policies and compliance is essential.
Practical Information
- This is a long-term opportunity, available for consultants on payroll as well as freelance professionals.
- The selected consultant will be required to work full-time, potentially for up to 440 days spread over approximately 2 years, on a 40-hour weekly basis during the organization’s business days.
- In-person attendance is required for at least 3 days per week at the central office, unless specifically approved otherwise.
- Additional hours or work outside of standard office hours (Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) require prior express approval.
- Holidays must be scheduled considering the continuity of service and project constraints, in consultation with the direct supervisor.
- Fluent proficiency in Dutch, English, and French is required.
