Function
We are looking for an experienced Technical / System Analyst to join our client’s team. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of business and IT within a complex mainframe environment. You will translate business needs into clear IT requirements and play a key role in analysis, validation, and collaboration within an Agile setup.
Role & Responsibilities
As a System Analyst, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between stakeholders and technical teams:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate needs into functional and technical requirements
- Analyze the application landscape and understand interactions between frontend and backend systems
- Produce clear, structured analyses to support development teams
- Prepare and execute test activities to validate delivered solutions
- Communicate effectively with team members such as Product Owner, architects, analysts, and developers in an Agile environment
Tasks & Technical Environment
You will work in a technically rich environment with a strong focus on mainframe systems:
- Operate within a mainframe ecosystem (IMS, Cobol, DB2)
- Analyze existing systems and assess the impact of changes
- Review code changes delivered by offshore/external teams
- Ensure proper alignment between application components and overall architecture
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for a structured and analytical professional with strong domain expertise:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an analyst within the insurance sector
- Proven experience in a mainframe environment (IMS, Cobol, DB2)
- Solid understanding of application architecture and system integrations
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Language Requirements
- French: fluent (primary communication with stakeholders and team)
- English: professional proficiency (collaboration with external partners)
