Medior AEM Developer

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced digital development professional to help further strengthen a high-traffic, hybrid web ecosystem that connects retail and online experiences. The environment is built around scalable content delivery, strong performance, and close collaboration across development and operations, with a focus on maintainable solutions and high-quality execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom, reusable building blocks within an enterprise content management environment.
• Work on components, templates, dialogs, and edit configurations to support scalable web publishing.
• Contribute to the implementation and evolution of content-driven web applications and portals.
• Collaborate with the wider team on deployment, release, and operational activities in an managed services setup.
• Support the delivery of reliable, performant, and maintainable solutions across the digital platform.
• Write unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure solution quality.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager 6.4 and/or 6.5.
• Advanced knowledge of Maven, OSGi, JCR, and Apache Sling.
• Experience with digital asset management, custom metadata schemas, content fragments, and experience fragments.
• Solid Java expertise, including Java 8 and J2EE.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control, including Git, feature branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Practical experience with web communication protocols such as REST, OAuth, and SOAP.
• Working knowledge of one or more JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Experience with web and application design using CSS and SASS.
• Up-to-date JavaScript knowledge, including ES6+, and TypeScript.
• Understanding of relevant technologies and application lifecycle practices.
• Experience working with web analytics and e-commerce environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with Adobe Managed Services operations, including deployment, dispatcher, and architecture, is required.

Profile

• At least 4 years of experience in a similar full-stack development role.
• Certified AEM Developer.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Excellent team player with a collaborative approach.
• Comfortable working in both structured and agile environments.

Practical Information

• Languages: fluent Dutch or French, and active English knowledge.
