Medior Functional Analyst

We're looking for an experienced functional analyst to join our client's team as they undertake a significant business transformation initiative. This role is essential for enhancing the capabilities of an existing department, focused on the development and optimization of business applications. You'll be an integral part of a collaborative team, working within an Agile environment to deliver innovative solutions that meet user and business needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with business and project stakeholders as well as team managers and partners.
• Conducting detailed analysis and validation of existing business processes and identifying new functional requirements.
• Translating requirements into practical business solutions through functional analysis and application design.
• Collaborating with technical team members to ensure functional designs are accurately reflected in technical specifications.
• Overseeing the complete delivery of new functionalities and applications from inception to completion.
• Creating comprehensive documentation throughout various project stages.
• Partnering with business analysts and developers to refine and validate proposed solutions.
• Coordinating with project managers to deliver status updates, facilitate decision-making, manage risks, and escalate issues when necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Strong functional and business analysis skills with the ability to quickly assimilate complex material.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to engage effectively with both the business and development teams.
• A solution-focused and customer-oriented approach, coupled with an adeptness at abstracting complex materials.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in business context and to integrate smoothly into an existing team while guiding junior members.
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and a thorough understanding of the application ecosystem, including technologies such as J2EE, Java8, Oracle, Hibernate, Junit, Selenium, Maven, GIT, and JIRA.
• Proficiency in using functional analysis tools and understanding technical language for effective functional analyses (APIs, business models, etc.).

A successful candidate should have:

• Active knowledge of either Dutch or French, including the ability to understand, speak, write technical documentation, and read in one of these languages.
• Strong command of English for writing documentation.

Given the nature of the activities involved, candidates must have Belgian nationality.
