Medior GIS Specialist

Function

We are seeking a skilled consultant to join our client's dynamic team. This role involves integrating advanced GIS functionalities across various applications, which includes visualizing geodata through digital maps and ensuring efficient geo web services. The consultant will analyze the data requirements and structure them to meet the needs of both internal and external users. Conducting or facilitating business analyses for the implementation of new GIS needs is essential.

The key responsibilities include:

• Determining necessary data layers and structuring them appropriately.
• Designing geodatabases and conducting spatial analyses within GIS.
• Translating functional requirements into technical implementations within GIS software.
• Setting up data and geo-services for GIS applications.
• Collaborating closely with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality GIS solutions.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in geocoding and manipulating vector and raster graphics formats.
• Hands-on experience with ESRI Enterprise Software, including ArcGIS Desktop and Server.
• Solid background in SQL and knowledge of geodatabases.
• Fluent in both English and Dutch (CEFR level C2).
• Experience with API usage and GIS Solution Architecture.
• Familiarity with geoprocessing tools, cloud architecture, and serverless databases.
• Knowledge of ETL tools and Agile development methodologies.

The consultant is expected to work at least one day per week from the main office, and adherence to project timelines and deliverables is crucial. Transitioning into new GIS requirements and technologies will be a significant aspect of your role. An aptitude for self-monitoring performance metrics and managing project deliverables effectively will be essential for success in this position.
