Medior ICT Security Expert

Function

We're looking for a consultant to join our client's team, where you will play a crucial role as an expert in ICT security. You will be responsible for advising on the development of ICT security policies and will contribute significantly to ongoing security projects. With a solid understanding of ISO 2700x and NIS2, you will leverage your practical experience to shape and implement an Information Security Management System (ISMS), ideally within a government setting. Your role will also involve coordinating tasks while interacting closely with various departments and ICT services to gather necessary information.

Responsibilities and Role

In this highly collaborative environment, you will take charge of project initiation, planning, tracking, and reporting, ensuring that all security initiatives align with our client’s objectives. Your tasks will include:

• Documenting, analyzing, and optimizing security processes and governance.
• Overseeing project progress and conducting necessary surveys to gauge effectiveness.
• Working directly with multiple stakeholders to enhance the overall security posture.

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate will have a higher degree (Master’s or Bachelor’s) in a technical or engineering discipline, or equivalent experience in ICT technology. You should possess:

• Proven experience as a Security Consultant and familiarity with security analysis and process documentation.
• Strong proficiency in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and process analysis.
• Fluency in Dutch at the CEFR - C2 level, with English proficiency also required.

Additional Skills and Experience

In addition to the mandatory qualifications, the following skills will distinguish you as a strong candidate:

• Experience within Flemish/local governmental structures.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices and methodologies.
• Ability to document methodically and with a high degree of quality.
• Experience with phishing and other security threats is viewed as a bonus.
