Medior Java Developer

Function

Our client is looking for an experienced Java developer to contribute to the development of modern applications in an agile environment. The assignment calls for someone who can work confidently across coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance, while also bringing hands-on expertise with backend and frontend technologies used in the solution landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications.
• Implement, test, and debug software components efficiently and accurately.
• Carry out maintenance tasks independently when needed.
• Contribute to the delivery of solutions that make use of geographic data.
• Collaborate within an agile development process.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Java-based application development.
• Formal training, certification, or equivalent professional experience in programming languages and environments such as Java/J2EE.
• Proven experience with REST API implementation.
• Proven experience with Spring Boot.
• Solid knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with React.
• Experience with Helm charts.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Bamboo.

Profile

• Strong hands-on programming skills, with the ability to code, test, and debug effectively.
• Able to work independently when required, including on maintenance activities.
• Experience in public sector environments is an advantage.
• Experience in government environments is an advantage.
• Experience working in agile teams is an advantage.

Practical Information

• Language requirement: fluent Dutch at CEFR level C2.
