We're looking for a skilled consultant to join our client's team, contributing to the development of digital solutions that streamline complex maritime environments. Responsibilities

The role encompasses the full software development life cycle, from architectural design to implementation and support. You will collaborate closely with architects and security teams, ensuring cohesive integration between domain logic, infrastructure, and the specifics of maritime logistics. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining .NET (C#) applications and RESTful APIs following SOLID principles, Design Patterns, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS), and Clean Architecture.
• Building event-driven and microservices-based architectures using Azure technologies including Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hubs.
• Integrating Azure components such as App Services, Functions, and API Management into robust solutions.
• Designing interface and data models, API specifications, and component diagrams, while also establishing non-functional requirements related to performance, scalability, security, and compliance.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Applied Computer Science or equivalent experience, with at least 4–6 years in software development within a .NET and Azure environment. Experience in maritime logistics, especially within government institutions, is essential. Candidates should possess strong technical capabilities, including:

• Proficiency in .NET 6/7/8, C#, and familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID, DDD, CQRS, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience with Azure Services, including App Services, Functions, Azure DevOps, and GitHub, as well as a solid understanding of security compliance frameworks such as NIS2 and ISO-27001.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Dapper, and Entity Framework Core for performance optimization.
• Ability to develop EDI/EDIFACT flows and robust integrations using OAuth2/OIDC, Azure Entra ID, and Managed Identities.

Fluency in both Dutch and English is required for effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.

Work Environment and Expectations

This position allows for a hybrid work environment, with a minimum of two to three days in the office. You will have opportunities for knowledge sharing, attending design reviews, and collaborating with product owners, analysts, and security experts to realize robust solutions. The role will involve:

• CI/CD implementation using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Participating in testing automation efforts and monitoring solutions using application insights.
• Leveraging your expertise to guide developers in best practices and secure coding.
• Performing root-cause analysis and resolving technical issues as part of 3rd-line support.
