Medior Sharepoint Specialist

Function

Our client is looking for a SharePoint / M365 specialist who can help shape and deliver a modern intranet from both a technical and functional perspective. The current intranet is based on Paddle/Drupal, and the assignment covers the full journey from analysis and structure through configuration, governance, and user adoption. You will work closely with the communications team, which will take the lead on editorial content, tone of voice, and content choices, while you translate their ideas into SharePoint building blocks and a scalable intranet structure.

Responsibilities

• Define and translate the intranet concept into a practical SharePoint-based solution.
• Work on information architecture, page structure, and navigation in close collaboration with communications.
• Support the configuration of the environment, with a strong preference for standard out-of-the-box capabilities.
• Help shape governance and adoption so the intranet is usable, coherent, and sustainable.
• Contribute to a visually appealing result that follows the organization’s corporate identity.
• Evaluate possible integrations with other Office applications, such as Teams, as well as potential AI-related use cases.
• Ensure existing SharePoint sites, including document-focused sites and smaller departmental intranets, can be discovered through the main intranet.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with the CMS side of SharePoint, preferably in an intranet context.
• Proven experience setting up information architecture and clear navigation structures.
• Experience with usability, UX, and corporate branding in digital environments.
• Demonstrated experience implementing SharePoint environments.
• Ability to handle programming tasks smoothly, including coding, testing, and debugging.
• Experience with SharePoint intranet solutions in public sector environments, preferably within a government setting.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

Practical Information

• Language requirement: Dutch at CEFR level C2.
• The assignment involves close collaboration with an internal SharePoint specialist and the communications team.
