Microsoft Azure expert

Function

We’re looking for a seasoned Azure Consultant / Azure Architect to support our client in strengthening, automating and modernising their cloud platform. You will collaborate closely with their Cloud & Infrastructure team and contribute to a wide range of initiatives across automation, governance, security, containerisation and serverless computing within Microsoft Azure. The role requires regular onsite presence in Bruges.

Role & Responsibilities

In this position, you will play a key role in designing and evolving modern Azure environments. Your scope will include:

• Designing, building and optimising Azure architectures across IaaS, PaaS and serverless models

• Implementing and maintaining Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps, Azure Automation and Azure Storage

• Setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

• Deploying and optimising Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and container-based workloads

• Shaping and managing Azure Governance frameworks, including Policies, RBAC and landing zones

• Guiding and advising internal teams on technical matters and best practices

• Troubleshooting complex cloud workloads and improving performance where needed

• Driving cloud automation, cost optimisation and modernisation initiatives

Skills & Experience

Our client is looking for a senior professional who brings strong hands-on Azure expertise and architectural insight:

• At least 8 years of experience within Microsoft infrastructure, including 5+ years working with Azure

• Strong practical knowledge of:

  • Azure Function Apps & Logic Apps

  • Azure Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code

  • Azure Storage

  • Azure API Management

  • Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)

  • CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

• Solid understanding of Azure Governance, Policies, RBAC and security best practices

• Experience designing scalable and secure cloud environments

• Analytical mindset, ability to work autonomously and strong communication skills

• Languages: Dutch (native) and English (professional)

Preferred Certifications

• MCSE Private Cloud

• MCSA Windows Server (2008 R2 / 2012 / 2016)

• Azure-related certifications are considered a strong plus
