.NET for Android Developer

Function

We're looking for a Senior .NET for Android Developer to join our client's development team and contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality mobile applications within a business-critical environment. In this role, you'll take ownership of the full development lifecycle, working closely with solution architects and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into reliable, scalable software solutions. Candidates with native Android experience and a solid .NET background who are eager to specialize in .NET for Android are also encouraged to apply.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior .NET for Android Developer, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Android applications using .NET for Android.
• Collaborate with solution designers, business stakeholders, and development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Take ownership of complete technical solutions, from design through implementation and testing.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following Clean Code, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Develop reliable integrations with backend APIs and implement offline/online synchronization mechanisms.
• Contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the development team.
• Apply modern development practices, including automated unit testing, version control, and secure software development.

Your Profile

We're looking for a consultant who brings:

• At least 5 years of experience in Android development, using either .NET for Android or native Android technologies.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with .NET development.
• Proven experience writing automated unit tests across multiple software projects.
• Demonstrated application of Clean Code, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles in professional development environments.
• Strong knowledge of the .NET ecosystem, including asynchronous programming, LINQ, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Android UI development, platform components, background processing, push notifications, WorkManager, and native SDK integrations.
• Solid experience integrating REST APIs and implementing offline-first mobile applications with synchronization and conflict resolution.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Excellent communication skills in English and either Dutch or French (professional proficiency), along with the willingness to work onsite in Brussels at least two days per week.
