Network Security Engineer

Function

We are looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to join our client’s team and play a key role in protecting their network infrastructure. In this position, you will design, implement, and maintain security measures, monitor and optimize network performance, and respond to security incidents. You will collaborate closely with IT, operations, and business teams to ensure a secure, reliable, and scalable network environment.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and deploy network security strategies to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.

• Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and load balancers.

• Monitor networks continuously to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents.

• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve network security issues while providing advanced technical support.

• Collaborate with teams to integrate security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of network management and routing, including routers, switches, dynamic and static routing, inter-domain routing, ExpressRoute, ISP connections, WiFi, DNS, and TACACS.

• Expertise in network security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and load balancers.

• Experience with cloud security and secure access solutions, including data protection in transit and at rest, and ZTNA concepts.

• Incident detection, threat analysis, and vulnerability response skills.

• Automation and scripting experience to improve operational efficiency.

• Familiarity with operating systems used in network environments.

• Understanding of network security standards and cryptographic protocols.
