Function

We're looking for a network administrator with expertise in telephony and contact centers, or a willingness to learn, to strengthen our client's network and telephony team. This team is responsible for implementing, managing, supporting, and improving the network and telephony infrastructure.

Responsibilities and Role

In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include:

  • Monitoring, managing, and overseeing the network.
  • Replacing, adding, overseeing, and maintaining network infrastructure components (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi appliances).
  • Managing and maintaining network security equipment (e.g., Firewalls, email secure gateways).
  • Establishing network links between different sites.
  • Setting up and configuring networks according to architectural plans provided by the network architecture team.
  • Implementing monitoring tools for network capacity management and traffic evolution.
  • Providing Level 2 and 3 support to various ICT teams during incident management.
  • Proposing improvements for network architecture and security.
  • Managing daily IP telephony operations.
  • Participating in the deployment of new contact centers to enhance service functionality.
  • Occasionally assisting with networking cable installations.

Technical Skills and Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge in automation principles, provisioning tools, and scripting languages to improve task automation. The necessary technical skills include:

  • Ethernet, TCP/IP protocols.
  • Cisco Wireless Controllers (5500 and C9800 series).
  • Nexus Router Management (9000 series).
  • Cisco Switches (C9200 series).
  • Fortigate Firewalls (70F, 600E) with multi-domain architecture management.
  • Understanding of security rules in a Windows environment.
  • Knowledge of DNS, VLAN, Proxy, SSL VPN, Cisco UCCM, UCCX, WLC, NAC, HSRP, and LACP.
  • Basic network cabling skills.

Familiarity with IP telephony and Cisco contact centers is a plus. A solid understanding of the overall network architecture and the ability to provide insights for improving reliability and resilience are essential. Candidates must be proficient in English and either French or Dutch.

Location and Additional Requirements

Finally, it is important to note that a minimum of 60% on-site presence in Brussels is required. If you are unable to meet this condition, please be aware that your application will not be considered. Additionally, candidates should be prepared to discuss their experience in the public sector and with Cisco and Fortinet equipment. If you lack experience in Cisco contact centers, a willingness to undergo training in this area is essential.
