Function
We’re looking for a hands-on and motivated Workplace IT Support & Installation Assistant to join our client’s infrastructure operations team. In this role, you’ll help prepare, install, configure, and deliver IT equipment, ensuring workstations are ready for use. No extensive IT experience is required, as you’ll receive on-the-job training. If you enjoy working with computers, have a practical mindset, and like being part of a team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Your Responsibilities
- Collect IT equipment from the warehouse, including laptops, keyboards, monitors, printers, and other workplace devices.
- Unpack, assemble, and prepare equipment for installation.
- Install and configure IT hardware, primarily using automated installation processes.
- Monitor installation progress and validate that the equipment has been correctly installed.
- Pack and prepare the completed equipment for delivery.
- Complete the necessary administrative tasks and update requests using digital tools and work order tracking systems.
- Support warehouse operations when needed, including unpacking deliveries, handling cardboard waste, and moving equipment.
- Assist with equipment deliveries in the surrounding area and, when required, accompany a colleague to an external industrial site under supervision.
Your Profile
- You have an interest in IT and computers. Familiarity with Windows and basic IT equipment is a plus, but previous professional IT experience is not required.
- You are comfortable working with computers and digital applications, including Microsoft Teams, Office tools, and administrative or work order management systems.
- You are accurate, punctual, and attentive to detail, particularly when following installation procedures and completing administrative tasks.
- You work well both independently and as part of a team, and you can organise your own workload effectively.
- You have a strong awareness of workplace safety and are comfortable performing practical, physically active tasks.
- You have a good command of Dutch.
Practical Information
This is an on-site position with no possibility of working from home. You’ll join a practical, collaborative working environment where you can develop your technical skills through hands-on experience and contribute directly to the smooth delivery of workplace IT equipment.
