We currently have an opportunity within our team for a seasoned software engineer specializing in mainframe and open systems technologies. This role involves contributing to our projects and maintaining various applications while adhering to agile principles.

Daily Responsibilities

• Engage in diverse project and maintenance tasks, aligned with SAFe principles.
• Plan and prioritize work tasks based on provided guidelines.
• Collaborate with offshore colleagues and a multidisciplinary team comprising software engineers, functional analysts, and business associates.
• Extend support to our global branches, spanning Europe, North America, and Asia.

We are seeking a senior professional adept in the realms of open systems and mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate will exhibit the following strengths:

• Proficiency in conducting both functional and technical analysis of applications.
• Confidence in managing end-to-end tasks, encompassing solution design, implementation, and testing.
• Equally adept at project work and application maintenance, ensuring a dynamic work routine.

Key Skills Required:

• Comprehensive understanding of open systems, with emphasis on Red Hat Linux (system administration skills not necessary).
• Mainframe expertise including job scheduling (IWS), change management, and release management.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting.
• Strong analytical capacity encompassing both functional and technical aspects.
• Beneficial if experienced in SAS mainframe and software architecture.
• We prefer a pragmatic and hands-on mindset, displaying swift learning capabilities and the ability to work independently.
