PHP/C Developer
Function
Our client is looking for an experienced software professional to contribute to a strategic modernization initiative focused on reducing mainframe dependency and migrating critical data to a modern, open architecture. The assignment takes place within a multidisciplinary environment where PHP- and C-based applications play a central role in supporting access to data for applications, analytics, AI-driven use cases, and intelligence-led operations.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve software solutions within the organization’s information and communication systems. You will work closely with analysts and technical colleagues to deliver reliable, high-quality applications in a high-availability environment.
- Design, develop, and test applications based on functional and technical analysis
- Ensure the quality, stability, and ongoing evolution of PHP and C applications
- Translate user needs into technical solutions in collaboration with functional analysts
- Monitor technological developments and provide technical advice where relevant
- Propose improvements and adaptations to existing solutions and projects
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Provide application maintenance and technical support
Technical Skills
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in backend development and a solid understanding of the technical environment surrounding the assignment.
- Expert-level experience with PHP 5.6, PHP 7, and PHP 8
- Expert-level experience with server-side C development, including asynchronous programming and threads
- Good knowledge of JavaScript
- Basic understanding of Linux Red Hat server environments
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, especially TCP/IP
- Experience using web services from PHP applications, including REST and SOAP
- Familiarity with environments and tools such as AngularJS, Ajax, jQuery, CodeIgniter, Git, and DEVO
- Experience with C#, Xamarin, or similar technologies is relevant
