PL/SQL Developer

We’re looking for a seasoned PL/SQL Developer to join our client’s dynamic technology team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in data-heavy environments and enjoys building scalable, high-performance solutions using Oracle technologies. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking group, maintaining and enhancing a critical application ecosystem while supporting the shift toward modern architectures.

Role & Responsibilities

As part of this role, you’ll work on a wide range of activities, from application maintenance to future-facing transformation initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle-based applications using PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, and APEX

• Implementing complex batch programming logic to process large datasets efficiently

• Optimizing and tuning systems for maximum performance and reliability

• Collaborating on the migration of legacy components toward a modern Java-based architecture

• Translating business requirements into structured, maintainable solutions within a governed environment

Your Profile

We’re looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a deep understanding of Oracle development tools. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating large-scale IT systems and thrives in a hybrid work setup.

Must-haves:

• Advanced experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, and APEX

• Solid understanding of batch processing and performance tuning techniques

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to assess the impact of system changes

• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English

• Willingness to work onsite in Brussels up to 1 day per week

Nice-to-haves:

• Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Spark and Scala

• Understanding of modern Java-based architectures (Java, React, Microservices, Kafka)
