Plan Administrator & CAD Designer
Function
We’re looking for a Plan Administrator – CAD Designer to join our client’s technical engineering team and support the accurate creation, adaptation, and management of technical plans and schematics. In this role, you will work closely with project leads, field teams, and control rooms to ensure that technical drawings reflect real-life installations, comply with agreed standards, and can be seamlessly integrated into our client’s technical monitoring environment.
Responsibilities

Analyse received models, drawings, and instructions, request additional information when needed, and perform on-site visits to verify alignment between plans and reality.

Update and refine technical schematics, detail constructions, and installation plans using specialised CAD software, while flagging inconsistencies or issues to the project lead.

Prepare plans for integration into the technical monitoring platform, upload them into the relevant tools, and make corrections based on system reports or feedback from control rooms.

Ensure proper digital archiving of all plans with clear version control in the designated document management system.

Develop and maintain clear legends, naming conventions, templates, and documentation standards for all technical drawings, aligned with business needs.

Create clear supporting documentation for clients and suppliers, selecting appropriate formats and presentation styles.
Profile of the ideal candidate

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or at least five years of experience in technical drawing or plan management within a building technology context.

Minimum three years of recent experience with AutoCAD, plus experience with BIM collaboration platforms and a document management system with version control.

Demonstrated experience with importing and configuring plans in a BMS or comparable technical monitoring platform, including basic troubleshooting.

Proven experience with as-built verification, on-site checks, and the definition or application of symbols, legends, naming conventions, and templates.

Strong attention to detail, structured working method, and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Practicalities and added value

Fluency in English and either Dutch or French at a level suitable for technical discussions and documentation.

Availability from 1 May 2026, with willingness to conduct on-site visits across Belgium.

Experience with multi-site environments, security systems (e.g., cameras, access control, fire detection, intrusion systems), and collaboration with control rooms is a strong asset.

Familiarity with BMS/technical monitoring platforms, including import flows, mapping, testing protocols, and troubleshooting, will be considered a plus.
