Function

We're looking for a skilled professional to join our client's team, focusing on the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of applications developed in PowerBuilder, ASP, .NET, and SQL. The role involves ensuring the stability, security, and longevity of these applications, particularly those with legacy systems historically developed in PowerBuilder. Collaboration with functional analysts and adherence to defined methodologies and development standards will be essential.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will handle production activities, incident resolution, and smaller functional development adaptions, tackling various technical challenges. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing corrective and evolutionary maintenance.
  • Conducting technical analysis and risk identification.
  • Optimizing application performance and assisting in necessary technical evolutions.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience with various programming languages and environments. Requirements include:

  • Expertise in .NET, PowerBuilder, PL SQL, and Windows Services.
  • Familiarity with Architecture Distribution Services and SAP SQLCA.
  • Fluency in English and French, plus proficiency in Dutch.

Experience and Additional Requirements

To thrive in this role, candidates should have a breadth of experience in the following areas:

  • At least 10 years of experience with SQL.
  • Development experience with PowerBuilder version PB2019 and strong knowledge from versions 12 to 19.
  • Prior work on communal financial solutions and rental management systems is a plus.
  • Experience within the public sector, application migration, and change management.

Hybrid work is supported, with a minimum requirement of two days in the Brussels office.
