Private Satellite Communication Network Engineer

We're looking for a consultant to join our client's team, where you'll play a significant role in advancing their pivotal projects within the energy sector. As the energy landscape evolves across Belgium and Germany, your contributions will help ensure a reliable and sustainable electricity supply. You'll collaborate with a variety of professionals to support the creation of innovative, green energy infrastructure that fosters both economic development and environmental stewardship.

Your role will involve leveraging private satellite communication technology as a backup for high-voltage substation RTUs and telephony communications, which includes:

• Collaborating closely with contractors and stakeholders to define the design and implementation of solutions, focusing on data traffic management, network management systems, antenna and modem installations, and more.
• Serving as the technical expert on private satellite communication technology, validating designs, and driving issues toward resolution.
• Drafting acceptance test plans and technical documentation to facilitate the mass rollout across multiple sites.

You will support project management by:

• Helping define project plans and priorities with project stakeholders.
• Participating in project follow-up meetings to monitor progress, identify risks, and resolve issues.
• Contributing to the drafting and validation of materials and proposals from contractors while maintaining project documentation.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• A Master's degree in telecommunications engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• A strong grasp of private satellite communication technology, with operational experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills paired with strong written and oral communication abilities.
• Experience in editing technical documentation, project management skills, and the ability to work independently and methodically.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is required, and a driver's license is needed.
