We're looking for a Product Owner Middleware Services to join our client’s team, supporting critical infrastructure services within a complex enterprise IT environment.

About the Role
Our client manages a broad and essential range of platform services, including:

• Messaging platforms such as RedHat AMQ and IBM MQSeries

• Routing services involving load balancing, access control, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF)

• Centralised logging systems

• Hosting environments including Weblogic and Oracle Service Bus

• API Gateway platforms

The Middleware Services team works across both operational (lifecycle, change, incident management) and developmental domains (automation, service improvement). As Product Owner, you will steer this team in delivering robust and scalable middleware services.

Responsibilities

• Manage the product backlog: define, clarify, prioritise and maintain items while planning releases

• Act as the liaison between stakeholders and the team: collect needs, feedback, and ensure alignment

• Organise daily team operations, balancing operational and developmental focus

• Promote autonomy within the team through coaching and support

• Ensure service quality, especially regarding non-functional requirements in large-scale delivery

• Support the definition of service vision and strategic direction

Your Profile
We are looking for a Product Owner with:

• Proven experience in managing middleware technologies and infrastructure platforms

• Strong analytical and technical insight

• Experience with Agile practices and backlog ownership

• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and strategic levels

• A natural sense of ownership, with leadership and coaching capabilities

• Customer-oriented mindset

Language Requirements
Fluency in Dutch, English, and French is required.
