Program Manager

Function

For an international industrial organization, we are looking for an experienced Senior IT Program Manager responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT programs within a complex, multi-site environment.

In this role, you act as the key interface between IT and business, ensuring that strategic IT initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and with clear business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT programs from initiation through implementation, aftercare, and continuous improvement
• Own program governance, planning, budget management, and value realization
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, business, and external partners) across multiple locations and countries
• Collaborate with Product Owners, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with the strategic roadmap
• Monitor progress, risks, and issues, and take corrective actions when needed
• Define and track KPIs related to cost, quality, delivery, and business outcomes
• Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and financials
• Implement and drive structured change management practices
• Establish and manage governance structures (e.g., change control boards)
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiency across IT programs

Profile

• Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent through experience
• 5–10 years of experience in IT program management
• Proven experience managing large-scale programs and leading sizeable teams (5+ M€ and 50+ FTEs)
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile and/or hybrid environments)
• Experience with budget management, planning, and business case delivery
• Experience in complex, international, and multi-site environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills up to executive level
• Pragmatic, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset
• Willingness to travel since the client is located in multiple locations within Europe + international

Languages

• English is mandatory
• Additional European languages are a plus
