Sitting at the intersection of cybersecurity, governance and operational delivery, you’ll ensure the program progresses in a structured and secure manner, with clear documentation, monitoring and stakeholder alignment. You’ll work closely with IT teams without taking over their implementation responsibilities or the decision-making role of senior security leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the rollout, monitoring milestones, dependencies, risks and overall progress.

  • Follow up implementation activities from a security and governance perspective in close collaboration with IT teams.

  • Identify risks, issues and challenges early and coordinate appropriate mitigation measures.

  • Monitor configuration, identity and access management, security controls and governance aspects.

  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including key public-sector stakeholders.

  • Follow up vendors, licensing activities and usage in collaboration with Microsoft and relevant partners.

  • Support the transition towards related cybersecurity initiatives and follow-on programs.

  • Report progress, decisions, risks and relevant configurations to security leadership.

  • Ensure thorough documentation and a structured handover from project activities to operational teams.

Technical Profile

You have a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and the security capabilities available within enterprise licensing environments. You are comfortable assessing how different services interact and understand the security implications of cloud, hybrid and mobile environments.

Key expertise includes:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and services such as Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.

  • Strong understanding of identity and access management, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA and Intune.

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS and SCCM is an advantage.

  • Good understanding of Microsoft security and compliance capabilities.

  • Professional experience in information security, governance, risk and compliance.

  • Working knowledge of NIS2 and GDPR.

  • Experience with project or program coordination and software/license management.

  • Ability to assess Microsoft 365 configuration, identity, access and security workloads at an expert level.

Profile

You work in a structured, accurate and solution-oriented way, with strong attention to documentation and governance. You are able to coordinate independently within a clearly defined framework and operate effectively at SFIA level 4 – Enable. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and can translate complex cybersecurity topics into practical actions.

You have a strong interest in cybersecurity and experience working in complex or public-sector environments. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, information systems or an equivalent level of experience is required. Microsoft certifications are considered an advantage.

You are comfortable collaborating with IT teams, vendors and business stakeholders and can act as an effective link between security, technology and operational teams. Professional proficiency in Dutch or French is required, with bilingualism considered an asset. English is required.

The assignment is a full-time external consulting role based in Brussels, with a hybrid working model combining office presence and telework according to team agreements.
