Project Manager
Function
We’re looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our client and take the lead on a set of strategically important digital programs within a complex, safety-critical environment. This role sits at the intersection of program management, agile coaching and Release Train–inspired orchestration, focusing on mobile applications, cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure, modern web interfaces and integrations with legacy systems. It is a hands-on delivery leadership role aimed at driving momentum, improving predictability and ensuring that value is consistently delivered.
Role and key responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of large, multi-team, multi-vendor technology programs, owning commitments on scope, timelines, budget and outcomes.

Translate strategic objectives into clear, executable roadmaps, milestones and delivery plans.

Continuously monitor and optimize delivery flow by identifying bottlenecks, dependencies and inefficiencies, and actively intervening to keep teams moving forward.

Reduce delivery friction by clarifying ownership, minimizing unnecessary handovers and improving prioritization and cadence.

Act as a program-level agile coach, ensuring consistent agile practices across teams and coordinating cross-team dependencies in a Release Train–like setup.

Facilitate planning, reviews and alignment sessions while fostering a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.

Bridge the gap between strategic governance and operational delivery, preparing steering materials, decision notes and impact assessments for senior stakeholders.

Ensure governance supports delivery rather than slowing it down.
Profile

Master’s degree (or equivalent senior professional experience).

At least 10 years’ experience in program, project or portfolio management within complex IT or digital environments.

Demonstrated experience leading transformation and change initiatives, not just project execution.

Proven experience working with executive or C-level stakeholders.

Experience managing multi-team, cross-functional programs with significant dependencies.

Strong background in Agile, scaled Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

Professional proficiency in English, French and Dutch.

Willing and able to work onsite with our client at least two days per week (up to three days remote, depending on business needs).
