We're looking for an experienced professional to join our client’s team, where you will be instrumental in managing complex projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency within the aviation sector. Your expertise will help to lead initiatives that drive excellence in service and safety, while ensuring alignment with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver business-process and software projects that elevate tools, infrastructure, service quality, and operational efficiency while ensuring safety standards are met.
• Define, document, and maintain the scope of each project.
• Plan, execute, and manage projects to ensure timely delivery within budget and according to specifications.
• Collaborate with functional analysts and IT teams to design innovative systems and processes aligned with project objectives.
• Tackle project issues related to operational processes and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and manage project risks and mitigation strategies effectively.
• Ensure compliance with standards and collaborate with IT partners to deliver high-quality, architecturally sound solutions.
• Oversee application usage, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business processes.
• Act as a quality control authority for both vendor and in-house development, ensuring comprehensive testing is conducted.
• Ensure project outcomes achieve the objectives outlined in the business case.
• Manage schedule, costs, quality, risks, and scope according to agreed governance frameworks.
• Prepare and present project status reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Own project deliverables supporting multi-year business-domain initiatives.

Your Profile

• Minimum of 5 years of IT project management experience with a proven track record leading agile development projects and delivering robust IT solutions.
• Possess project management certification (PMI, Prince2), requirements engineering (IREB), and testing certification (ISEB/ISTQB); experience in agile methodologies.
• A degree in business or engineering, ideally focused on transportation or project management.
• Comprehensive understanding of transportation, particularly airline operations including maintenance, crewing, ticketing, scheduling, and regulatory frameworks.
• Fluency in English and Dutch; broad knowledge of IT and systems relevant to transportation.
• Be a motivated team player with a proactive and flexible working style.
• Exhibit diplomatic skills, cultural sensitivity, and a strong ability to present, negotiate, and influence effectively.
• Maintain a customer-focused and solution-oriented attitude.
