Project Manager Java
Function
For one of our clients in the HR services sector, we are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager / Team Lead with a strong affinity for Java-based software environments.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing IT projects from initiation to delivery, while also supporting the team in terms of coordination, coaching and day-to-day leadership. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, developers, architects and management to ensure that projects are delivered in a structured, qualitative and pragmatic way.
Hands-on coding is not required, but you should have a solid conceptual understanding of Java development, application architecture, integrations, APIs, databases, testing and software delivery processes. You need to be able to follow technical discussions, challenge solutions at the right level and translate technical complexity into clear project planning and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Manage IT projects from scope definition to delivery.
- Follow up on planning, budget, risks, dependencies and quality.
- Coordinate Java-oriented development teams.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders.
- Support team members through coaching, guidance and clear prioritization.
- Facilitate decision-making and remove delivery blockers.
- Ensure transparent reporting and stakeholder alignment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes and team collaboration.
Profile
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Team Lead or similar role.
- Strong understanding of software development environments.
- Good conceptual knowledge of Java-based applications.
- Experience working with development teams, analysts, architects and business stakeholders.
- Able to manage both project delivery and team coordination.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum or hybrid delivery models.
- Strong communication, planning and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of HR services, payroll, social administration or social secretariat environments is a strong asset.
