Project Manager Security

Function

We are looking for an experienced consultant to join our client's organization and lead strategic initiatives within a large-scale Agile environment. In this role, you will drive complex business and technology initiatives from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment between stakeholders, delivery teams, and governance bodies while maximizing business value.

Role & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for guiding strategic initiatives through the Agile portfolio lifecycle, collaborating closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, architects, and product leadership to ensure successful execution.

• Drive initiatives through the portfolio management process and ensure alignment across multiple Agile teams and delivery streams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to define objectives, scope, and expected outcomes.
• Develop business cases and supporting documentation to facilitate prioritization and decision-making.
• Work with delivery teams to estimate effort, assess feasibility, and support prioritization activities.
• Define and maintain implementation roadmaps, including milestones, dependencies, timelines, and stakeholder commitments.
• Coordinate with product leaders and solution architects to break down large initiatives into manageable deliverables.
• Support backlog prioritization and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Participate in planning events, review sessions, and demonstrations to monitor progress and delivery outcomes.
• Evaluate delivered capabilities against agreed business objectives and minimum viable scope.
• Provide clear reporting on progress, risks, KPIs, and leading indicators to senior stakeholders and governance teams.

Key Focus Areas

A significant part of the role involves driving alignment between business and technology teams regarding processes, governance, and operational practices related to security patching, vulnerability management, and service continuity requirements.

• Facilitate collaboration between business, IT, and security stakeholders to define and improve operational protocols.
• Support initiatives related to increased patching frequency, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with strict service-level requirements.
• Leverage insights gained from operational exercises, simulations, and remediation activities to identify improvement opportunities.
• Define high-level action plans focused on removing bottlenecks, improving coordination, increasing standardization, and enabling greater automation.
• Drive strategic improvements without prescribing detailed technical implementations.
• Contribute to additional strategic initiatives as priorities evolve.

Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior Agile delivery, portfolio, or strategic initiative leadership role.
• Strong experience working within Agile methodologies and large-scale Agile environments.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience coordinating initiatives involving business, technology, and security teams.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
• Strong communication and facilitation capabilities.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable roadmaps and measurable outcomes.

• Fluent in English and Dutch.
