Our client is looking for a skilled Software Developer to contribute to the development, improvement, and maintenance of a specialised application landscape supporting complex technical operations. You’ll help build reliable, future-proof software that coordinates automated processes, manages data flows, and supports safe and efficient execution of operational activities. This long-term consulting assignment offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical software components, contribute to technical improvements, and ensure the continued quality, maintainability, and structured version management of the applications.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance a core application that coordinates processes and communication between different technical systems, data acquisition components, safety mechanisms, and databases.
• Build and improve graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and application logic to support process automation and efficient operational workflows.
• Implement solutions for handling different operational scenarios, including recovery procedures, return sequences, and error handling.
• Develop and maintain database functionality for storing, processing, and transferring operational data.
• Contribute to software development and testing activities for a technology platform used in advanced testing and validation activities.
• Take ownership of assigned software components, ensuring proper version control, code quality, documentation, and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and other stakeholders, providing technical support and contributing to broader IT-related activities when required.

Your Profile

• Proven experience in software development using C# and Python.
• Strong experience developing graphical user interfaces and application-based software solutions.
• Solid programming, testing, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaborative software development practices.
• An analytical and structured approach, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive mindset, a willingness to ask questions, and an eagerness to continuously develop your skills and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• An interest in complex technical systems and operational environments is an advantage.
