Python/ Django Developer
Function
We're looking for a skilled professional to join our client's dynamic team. This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining a Python application developed using Django, aimed at supporting operational needs within a specialized environment. The position requires collaboration with a closely-knit team of developers and necessitates an on-site presence in Brussels at least two days a week.
Responsibilities
The selected individual will be instrumental in:
- Developing and implementing new features for the existing application.
- Maintaining and improving the current codebase.
- Participating in Agile development methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data within the application.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented software engineer passionate about designing and developing innovative software components. The following qualifications are essential:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Software Development, IT, or equivalent experience in software development.
- Proven experience in developing data applications using Django.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements.
Technical Skills
The role requires proficiency in the following technologies:
- Front-end Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React
- Back-end Development: Python, Django
- Data Handling: Python, SQL, Pandas
- API Development: REST, SOAP, GraphQL
- Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab, CI/CD
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms is a plus.
Languages and Soft Skills
Fluency in English is mandatory, alongside proficiency in Dutch and/or French. The successful candidate will also exhibit strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, innovative thinking, and a proactive work ethic.
