We're looking for a talented individual to join our client's team, focusing on the development and maintenance of innovative software solutions. The successful candidate will become a vital part of a collaborative team dedicated to supporting operational needs through effective software engineering.
Responsibilities and Role
The new team member will enhance an existing four-person team engaged in developing a Python application using Django, aimed at fulfilling various operational requirements. This entails the creation of new features and the upkeep of existing ones within the application. Development will be conducted using Agile methodologies, with on-premise execution at our client's office, which is conveniently accessible by public transportation.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven software engineer who is passionate about designing and developing innovative software components and applications. Essential qualifications include:
- Strong front-end development skills with expertise in React.
- In-depth back-end development knowledge in Python, particularly with Django.
- Experience with Docker for deployment and CI/CD processes.
- A keen focus on ensuring data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
- Excellent analytical abilities for solving complex technical challenges.
- Familiarity with Nginx or Apache web servers is considered a plus.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
The suitable candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Software Development/IT or equivalent proven experience in software development. Required technical skills include:
- Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React
- Back-end: Python, Django
- Data management: Python, SQL, Pandas
- API Development: REST, SOAP, GraphQL
- Cloud Platforms: Azure (optional)
- Version control: Git, GitHub, GitLab, CI/CD
Fluency in English is essential, with active proficiency in either Dutch or French, or a minimum passive understanding of the other language.
