QA Engineer

We're looking for a Quality Test Engineer to join our client's dynamic team, where your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of innovative digital data-sharing products. You will thrive in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure that software is delivered reliably and efficiently. Your technical proficiency in test automation and strong analytical capabilities will help illuminate quality indicators, leading to continuous improvement in the team's testing maturity.

Responsibilities

• Establishing, managing, and executing test cases within Azure DevOps Test Plans.
• Automating regression and integration tests using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Postman, and REST API tests.
• Managing test suites and linking them to builds and releases in Azure DevOps Pipelines.
• Collaborating with developers to define testable user stories and integrating quality from the start.
• Reporting test results through Azure DevOps Dashboards and analyzing trends in defects, coverage, and reliability.
• Creating and maintaining PowerBI reports for management and business insights.
• Supporting CI/CD integration by connecting test automation to the pipeline.
• Contributing to the Definition of Done (DoD) by verifying quality, test coverage, and performance criteria.
• Managing bugs, issues, and test feedback through Azure Boards in close collaboration with the Scrum Master and Product Owner.
• Drafting quality reports and test metrics (coverage, defect density, pass/fail ratio, cycle time).
• Continuously improving testing processes and promoting quality automation.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a professional proficient in the following areas:

Testing & Quality Engineering

• Proficient in Azure DevOps Test Plans, Test Suite & Test Case Management, and both manual and automated testing.
• Experienced in Test Run Scheduling, Reporting, and Traceability Matrix Analysis.
• Skilled in Test Coverage Analysis, Regression, Smoke Testing, and Exploratory Testing.

Automation & DevOps Integration

• Expertise in API & UI Test Automation using Playwright and Selenium.
• Ability to integrate build pipelines (YAML-based) and validate CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of publishing test results in Azure DevOps and maintaining quality gates and policy enforcement.

Metrics & Reporting

• Experience with Test Outcome Analytics, Defect Tracking, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Familiarity with Flow Metrics, Release Quality Reports, and PowerBI.

Agile & Collaboration

• Involvement in Sprint Testing Activities and validation of Definition of Done (DoD).
• Working closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters, providing feedback loops to developers.
• Engaging in continuous improvement and test strategy reviews per sprint/release.

Requirements

The candidate should possess:

• Professional proficiency in English and native-level proficiency in Dutch.
• Experience with test automation tools, CI/CD integration, and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in either C#, SQL, Python, or PHP with a focus on API testing.
• Ability to comfortably handle complex test scenarios within Agile frameworks.
• Familiarity with test lifecycle management tools such as TestRail and TestMo.
• Strong analytical skills to derive meaningful insights from performance metrics.
